Systemic provides architectural leadership and software engineering capability for a global engineering platform used by distributed teams. The objective was to create a unified system capable of supporting structured, repeatable engineering processes across multiple regions.

The challenge

Engineering workflows relied on fragmented tools and a variety of calculation methods, making it difficult for teams in different regions to operate consistently. The data management approach varied from person to person and from project to project, as did the analysis tools used, while calculations, often requiring 100’s of individual inputs, were executed through manual data entry.

The organisation required a unified platform capable of introducing structured data models, reusable calculation libraries and a controlled environment to ensure the tools used by engineers were standard across multiple regions and fully validated for their use cases, while supporting secure deployment across multiple cloud environments.

The solution

Systemic began with a proof-of-concept to confirm feasibility and architectural direction. Once validated, we delivered a full greenfield platform built around typed data models and structured repositories. Reusable calculation libraries reduced duplication, while workflow orchestration tools introduced governed engineering processes.

The platform was deployed using a multi-environment cloud architecture designed for resilience and scalability. Systemic continues to provide architectural oversight and engineering support as the platform evolves.

Results

The platform now provides a stable foundation for engineering teams working across multiple regions. Standardised workflows and reusable components have reduced duplication and driven improved efficiency while improving data integrity and traceability. Its scalable cloud architecture supports continued expansion, enabling teams to work consistently while maintaining the technical discipline required for long-term engineering reliability.
